If I could wish for a perfect body it would be that one.. haha hopefully one day in the next year I will have a body somewhat like this all curves in the right places yet have a pretty flat stomach and regular arms haha I love my ass and hips Im nervous they will go away with my healthier life style change lol

New Years Resolutions...

I already know what I am going to change and do for 2013 so I am posting this a few days early. Do you do new years resolutions or not? I at least try to set goals and push hard to achieve those goals. I have a few this year for sure..

• Continue my weight loss journey.. I love love my curves I just have an issue with my pot belly stomach and my flabby arms.. I love being curvacious and voluptuous. Like I have said in a past post that I am super short so I look squished.. My weight wouldnt be an issue at all if I was taller. But being so short and squished its hard for me to shop for clothes and have the time I will end up being angry or super upset in the store.. So I hardly go shopping haha Last year I lost about 25lbs in the year with off and on dieting and no exercise.. This year Im not really going to diet I am just going to be eating WAY healthier and making better food and portion choices as well as either going to join a gym or if that doesnt work out then I am going to take my furr ball kids out for a walk everyday.. cold or hot weather (i dont do rain haha) I will be posting updates on my progress which will include weight, inches, pictures, new exercise choices, and new healthy food recipes.. I just want to be healthier people by no means what so ever do I live in that bullshit Size 0 world...

• Limit my smoking and cut wayYYYyy the hell down.. I mean dont get me wrong Its not like I smoke a pack a day or anything but I do eventually want to quit and I feel the best way to do that is to start limiting myself.. Right now I smoke a pack of cigs in about 2 days.. I want to try to make a pack last for 3 days.. and hence forth over time make a pack last even longer haha till I quit all together

• Finally just to save money and pay off a lot of debts and keep my house in working order.. Brandon and I have an issue of cleaning and then just letting it get to cave man status again... I hate it.. Its going to change I would like to have friends and family over all the time not just when my house is in working order haha Ahh the life of a grown up.. not fun! lol Plus we want to pay off a lot of debt to build up our credit so we can buy a house and start a family!! YAY..

Ahh I have been away for sooo long it seems.. Im sorry lovlies I have just been really busy with the holiday season.. And let me tell you it was a fabulous one!! Hope all of you had an amazing Holiday!! I know I forgot to do a nail polish swatch/review last week even tho I did purchase 2 new ones last week.. I will include them in this weeks Nail Polish swatch/review.. I also have been meaning to do a video on making your own sugar wax as well as your own hair mask.. Im all about DIY beauty.. Less money I have to spend and still get the amazing results HELLS yeah IM all for it.. I will keep this short and sweet tho I just wanted to let everyone that I was still alive and kicking and I have some amazing posts coming your guys way!!

"Dark Sea" Eyeshadow... Using 120 palette

I just recieved my BH Cosmetics 120 Palette 1st edtion yesterday and I was really excited to use it and see what it was all about. First off sorry for the RIDICULOUS eyebrows.. They freakin out of control I just havent had time this week to wax them SORRY!! lol No worries the makeup is the star hehe

This is what I decided to do today. I wanted to go bold colors/smokey look to truely see how pigmented the palette really was.

I called this look the "Dark Sea" ehh Idk what the hell to call it but it reminds me of the ocean right at the beginning of a storm.

 

 

I used a series of blues, a dark green, black, and a eggshell color to create this look out of my BH Cosmetics 120 Palette 1st Edition. I went for a bold blue statement today. I really wanted to use a color that a lot of people would be wary to wear. I really wanted to see how pigmented the colors were. And BAMN they are insane! I fell in love with this palette at first swipe of my eyeshadow brush. They are true to their color in the palette. They go on very well. I did use a eye primer but I do all the time to just make sure my eyeshadow stays in place. The colors are super easy to blend as well which I like very much. You do have to be careful tho because you can actually overblend them.

And this is a couple hours wear in these pictures and they are still vibrant!

80's Inspired Zebra Nail Design

Today I answered a question on a blog I am following.

The Question was: "Who was/is favorite female cartoon?"
Of course I am going to answer She-Ra and Jem and the Holograms.. 2 bad ass old school cartoons. She-Ra was the sister to He-Man. And they did a whole spin off thing with her.. lol I couldnt get enough of it when I was younger. Now Jem and the Holograms was my all time favorite, it was a cartoon based off an all girls 80's rock band. What could be better a kick ass cartoon thats features jammin music and a female as the main character.. lol This show inspired this look I did... (click on pictures for full size)

This is a quick easy to do design. Its perfect for an 80's themed party with a modern twist or if you just want a bright design this is perfect for you. I love it!

 

 

 

I used these 3 colors for this design. From left to right: Teal or No Teal (227C) From Wet'N'Wild fast dry collection and 2 Kiss Nail Striper polishes in white and neon pink

 

 

To create this simple look just paint 2 coats of Teal or No Teal than take your white striper polish and make a animal print. Now don't worry if your not sure you can do this animal print.. the less perfect you are the better. Evey animal is diffrent and thats what makes each of them unique.  :-)

Now take your neon pink striper brush and lightly go over the white. You want to make sure you leave just a tiny bit of white still showing. This will give your design depth.. glitter polish can do the same.

Mini Nail Polish Haul... Weekly Swatches and Looks

I am going to try to buy at least one new nail polish each week to swatch and do a mini review on them. As well as quick looks you can do with that color/colors.. As well as being budget smart, everything I buy will be super affordable and easy to obtain! So here we go! WOOT WOOT!

This week I have 4 for you! I bought 2 Spoiled From Wet'N'Wild brand at a local drug store for $1.99 each and 2 L.A. Colors Craze Nail Polish brand at a local dollar store for a $1.. (click on pictures for full size :)

Gorgeous colors.. fell in love with them.. very fun and flirty.
The next few picture will be swatches on my acutal nails to show you the color and coverage.. All these are withlout top coat on and I wll never use a top coat when doing these weekly nail polish swatchs/review because everyone have a diffrent top coats and each one give the nail polish a diffrent finish. I wanted to show the polishs' true color.

• Glistening Purple is a very  fine colored glitter in clear nail polish, I found this glitter polish easy to work with and not gloopy. Went on very easy. The glitter coveraged itself isn't that great if your looking for that glammed out glittered look. As you can see with 3 coats on its not much of a glitter gathering (haha I made up my own terms BOOM!) BUT if you pack it on lightly such as I did in my older post http://followyourdr3am.blogspot.com/2012/12/elegant-sparkle-nails.html You can get a decent coverage for a $1 nail polish. I see myself using this a lot.
• Deeper Dive is a highly pigmented shimmery blue/greenish/turquoise color. It as great coverage and goes on smoothly. I feel with only two coats you are good to go. The moment I put it on I saw it would be the perfect nail color for a Mermaid Halloween costume! It is a just gorgeous!

• Deeper Dive with Ants In My Pants over it is a combo you could do if you were short on time if you wanted a subtle sultry statement.. Or if your just starting to get into nail polish and just experimenting with nail art this is super easy to create. For very beginners layering a sparkly polish over a brightly pigmented base polish is a very good way to start learning how to use certain colors and types of polsihes. I do like this combo, I just feel like it needs a little more "pop" but I dont know what yet. If you have any suggestion please comment, I would love to here your ideas.

• Ants In My Pants is a lightly almost charcoal black nail color with medium to fine red glitter in it. As pictured above 3 coats still doesn't give you the black out black background with blinging red glitter in it as I feel it precieves it will do. I feel though to get the desired effect the polish looks like it would give would take about 4-5 coats. That many coats will surely make you more likely to smudge and F*** up your polish/design. Also I felt like this was somewhat difficult to work with. I more and likely use this polish as a top glitter over various base colors or sometime around Halloween.

• Hot Blooded is a subtle warm red. It is bright enough to be noticed especially if your hands are a focal point aka like doing a lot of hand gestures when talking. Its not that KAAAPLOW bright red at all. I would say is more on the warmer, nuetral red you would wear with a sexy little red dress. HOT! I will defiantly be using this one a lot. Its just one of those red colored nail polishes that just makes you feel good! The name fits it perfectly. This has great covereagd and great pigment. It becomes warmer more the coats/layers.

Now lets get into some layering and diffrent color combos you could do with some of these polishs'

Over all I am pretty happy and confident that I will use these polish on the regular. I do feel that I got my moneys' worth even with the red glitter polish is somewhat hard to work with. My thoughts and prays go out to the families in CT today. This has made absoutly sick to my stomach. People are fucking bonkers. How can kill the innocence of our society. Children are out future we need to help guide them into their future not take it away from them.. It heavys my heart to realize that we as human beings have no drive to maintain life but think we are superior because we can take it away in a instant... This human was an pure animal and needs to be caged and tortured than put to death.. sorry im just really upset.. What are your thoughts on this tragic incident?

Veggie Tray Christmas style..

Did you get stuck again this year bringing or making the veggie tray for you Christmas dinner or a Christmas party?? Well here is a simple, fun way to spice that plain ole veg tray up.

 

You can make this once boring but yet always provided grab and go food fun and creative. Especially for kids who might be difficult on eating their veggies. This is just a simple, quick way of doing it, but Im sure you can play around and get more creative. I think its PERFECT for a company/friends Christmas party. The veg tray will be the star of the night. People are more inclined to eat/talk about a dish that is colorful and put together in  a clever way. So try it out and get creative with your veggies this Christmas!

A Superhero Christmas

If you love comic book character as much as I do you will be wanting these.. I just spotted these off of the Big Bang Theory's FB page and about died. I want these soo bad the only problem is I would keep these up all year round.. Amazing..

A classy plus size fashion

This once again would look good on plus size or smaller... Simple, bold, classy.. I am not a huge fan of gold at all but I would totally rock this outfit.. What do you guys think? Also I think this would be a nice Christmas party outfit, especially a company party.. Still professional, but yet fun!

Bahaha I do see all the things I listed above but this just made my day... Never doubt yourself and always be able to laugh when you look in the mirror... I have learned over the years if you can laugh at yourself you have enough confidence to conquer the world..

Elegant Sparkle Nails.....Secretly Glitz and Glam Nails

These easy to do nails are great for short (pictured above), long, acrylic, or even toes!! You can wear this for many of occasions. Christmas itself or a holiday themed party, New Years, Winter season, birthdays, prom, homecoming, or just because your feeling pretty. Super simple to do but has a bold, pretty statement.. Here is a list of all products used.

You can use any colors really.. I feel black would be a great base color for the silver and glitter or even a christmas bright red.. OOOoooO HOT!!

But Brittany what if I have a rockin party I want to go to and just the light pink and silver glitter isn't enough.. Well have no fear everyone, I have found the solution! (that was my superhero voice tehe) All you have to do is take ANY fine glitter polish you would like and do the same gradient effect on your nails but just not as far up as the silver.

BAM!! In your face glitz and glam!! Now like I said ANY fine glitter polish will work its all up to you! I chose a hot purple/could be pinkish one from L.A. Colors in Glistening Purple. I picked it up yesterday at the $1 store and wanted to test it out but without re-doing my nails. So I came up with this.

 

 

All you have to do to get this look is take your colored glitter polish and start as you were doing a french tip. Now since I have little baby nails I had to start way way down almost just the very tips. Now you want to do it very lightly just dont go and glob it on there, this is basically just a guidline of where your going to be starting to build up color. Ok once you have your guideline go and wipe your brush off the side of the bottle just so you have the lightest of polish on there and then go and swipe from the middle of your nail to the tip VERY lightly.. this is so the gradient will blend smoothly together when top coat is appliesd... ok let dry YO!

 

 

 

Now its really up to once it dries to as much layering you want. I just kept going over it with light stroked moving a tiny bit down toward the very tip of my nail till I got my desired look. True Life | I Have A New Stepparent: Ali, Fernando and Robyn are three young people whose lives are turned upside-down by the arrival of new stepparents.


I can totally relate to this.. It was my mom and I until I was 18.. She met a man 15 years younger than her. It was soo hard at first because he would try to tell me what to do and I felt like he stole my mom from me and completley changed her. He didnt even tell me that he was planning on proposing and when they told me I was in Shock and then was yelled at for not having the reaction they wanted me to have. When I told themI felt that I didnt matter since he never asked me for my blessing he straight out told me that I didnt matter or my opinion. I was hurt to the core especially since my mom just sat there and didnt say anything. Thing are somewhat better today but I think mostly thats because we are seperated by 1,000 miles or soo. I miss her terribly but Im glad I dont have to be around my step dad all the time..

Turquoise and Gold outfit

Plus Size Fashion..Rant...Tips... Etc...

I am a plus size girl and as much as I love my curves they can be a curse as well. It gets kinda hard to find clothes that I love in my size.. Now Im a size 16 which you would think it would be that hard right well Im freaking weird shaped... I dont have the gigantic boobies that most plus sized girls usually have which Im somewhat jealous ugh but dont get me wrong im not that small I have a big B to small C chest so Im not working with nothing plus I am freakiing SHORT!! So being big and short is double hard I feel like.. but as I shop for tops and since I am bigger with a slightly smaller chest for what is considered plus size I always feel that most of the tops are to big in the chest area.. :-(  Also I feel that most of the time unless you are freaking rich.. its hard to find things that are in style on a budget.. Why do fashion designers think being plus size means being out of fashion... and Im talking on budget meaning like... Walmart, Kmart you know those store. Even shopping at Old Navy can get pricey for me because Im a 25 year old girl who pays her own bills, have my own car, and my own house.. I dont have the money to go and buy $50 pair of jeans.. HELLS NO!! I just feel designers need to take in consideration that the plus size budget wise (haha ) need to look hella awsome to!

What I have learned over the years of living on my own and being on a tight budget most of the time is.. shop clearence all the time!!!! and good wills are always a good place to stop and look. I have found many of great items at the Will it just takes time to look.. Just the other day I hade on a freaking super cute outfit and it only cost me $15 total!! and it was mostly name brand stuff, Old Navy, Elle, and Candies... Don't be ashamed people of shopping at Good Wills or any kind of consignment store.. Sometimes they have the best stuff.. Especially vintage wear.. Which I am completley in love with.. I say all the time I was born in the wrong Era!

Most importantly though is.. you can make anything work... always google and youtube things on how to make old into new OR how to add an accessories to make it BAM!! Also Always love yourself.. No matter what.. and be healthy.. I have lost 20 lbs from the 1st of last year and yes I want to loose more but its only because I want to be healthy not skinny... Curves are amazing and remember that...

Condensation

I was laying in bed the other morning and I happened to look at my window and I saw that it had some condensation on it.. So I hopped out of bed and got my D5100 and started snapping away... I took like 50 pics of the condensation And then narrowed it down to 9 haha So now I need you help to give me the top three.... yeah they all look pretty much the same to most but if your into photograpghy you will notice I used multiple focus points and diffrent shutter speeds as well as diffrent appeture!! SO Im asking you guys please help me pic the top 3... Comment and let me know!! Well fuck me it will only let me make the 2 big... errr Anways I used te Nikon D5100 with the 18-55mm kit lens... Another fantastic makeup artist... She not only does halloween/fantasy makeup but very wearable everyday looks as well as some amzing night looks.. Check her out!! I love her! She has inspired me numerous of times!!

Sunburst! Makeup look I did..

So here is the makeup I did yesterday.. Tried to make a tutorial but freaking it wasn't happening but I will list all the products I used and price of them.. Very budget friendly! It was cloudy and dreary yesterday here so I wanted something with a pop of color but nothing like a summer look.. You could defiantly do this for fall for sure as well!! Hope you enjoy!! Sunburst!






For foundation I used Mary Kay in Ivory that I found at a garage sale for $6 and yes it was sealed.

Then I used NYC eyeliner in White as a base. I put it on the lid and blended it all the way to the eyebrow. This was a $1

Then starting at the inner corner and going to the middle of my lid and no higher than the crease I used Ulta eyeshadow in Sunburst $7 Very pretty prolly one of my favorites, its orangy/gold shimmer

 

 

From the middle to the outer corner I used Cover Girl Tropical Fushion Quad. I only used the orange color from this quad, it matches perfectly and its matte so it gives the eye great texture. $5 the colors are pretty bright but you have to pack a lot on..

 

For the crease I used an E.L.F. Palette that I have. I got it for around $5 (it was on sale. Originally they go for $10) It is called e.l.f. Studio Endless Eyes Pro Mini Eyeshadow Palette in Everyday. I used two colors for the crease. They are in top row, the 5th and 6th one in.

I used the elf palette as well for the highlight under the brow. Top row 1st and 2nd one in. And remeber to always blend blend blend!!

 

 

For mascara and eyeliner I used Wet N Wild I believe both products were $1-$3

I do not recommend this one at all.. it worked great the first time and then poof sucked.. it was all i had yesterday when I was doing this look. I bought some new stuff last night.

 

Cheeks I used a burnt orange blush I got a really long time ago. It was a Jane product which I have no idea if they even sell Jane anymore.

 

 

 

 

 

I also put shadow under my lower lash line to make it a tad burnt smokey
